O livro está registrado sob licença Creative Commons.
Lawrence Lessig, da Stanford Law School, é um dos especialistas em Internet que têm o livro em altíssima conta:

O professor Yochai Benkler estará em São Paulo, no dia 31 de maio, fazendo uma palestra sobre o asunto do livro dele, no ciclo de palestras promovido pelo Instituto de Estudos Avançados da Universidade de São Paulo. A entrada é gratuita, e o ciclo de palestras vai até novembro próximo.
